Welcome to South Ribble Ramblers
South Ribble Ramblers provide a walk every Thursday at 1 pm (except Xmas Day etc) in the general area of South Ribble and surrounds.
As a part of the Mid Lancs Rambler Area, we also provide a link to about 40 walks a month in connected walking groups.
Most South Ribble walks involve around 15-30 walkers on walks of about 5-7 miles and graded as Leisurely or Moderate.
(see the little orange tab on the left of this page for explanation of grades)
Most of the walkers attend for a mixture of exercise and socialising, the pace is moderate and age range "mature"!
The next walks are shown in the convenient box top left on this page and a full programme is accessed in the "Walk Programmes" above.
If you are not a member of the Ramblers, you are very welcome to join a few walks to see if the walks suit you and perhaps see if the group provides what you are looking for.
If you are uncertain about joining a walk click HERE for more information.
You are also welcome to have a chat with Dave or Eric - see the "Contact Us" in the menu above.
As a group in the Mid Lancashire Area, we contribute to the Area wide programme which provides about 40 walks each month.
(see the box on the right or use the menu above "Websites"=>"Area Website" to access the whole of the Mid Lancs area information.)
Any member of the Rambler is free to join any Rambler walk in the whole of the UK.
The walks available can be found on the Central Rambler site (see in menu above).
If you are an experienced walker and might be interested in leading walks, talk to Dave or Eric who can provide more information and organise support in finding walks, doing recce's and running a walk. (more information on the Mid Lancs Area web site - see above).
